Bethew Bert Jennings III (“Bert”) joined Blackshear Capital & Legal as Of Counsel in September 2006. Bert has over 11 years of experience in intellectual property law including global copyright, patent and trademark prosecution, IP support for mergers and acquisitions, and management of third party product development relationships, commercial transactions, and technology licensing. pillwatch.com
Prior to joining the Firm, Bert served for over seven years as IP Counsel for Halliburton Energy Services, Inc., where he was responsible for managing intellectual property matters within Halliburton’s Drilling, Evaluation and Digital Solutions division.
Prior to Halliburton, Bert served as an Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office and as an Associate at a major intellectual property law firm located in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to attending law school, Bert worked as an applications/requirements Analyst for IBM, where he was contracted to NASA to work on the software system for the guidance, navigation and control of the United States Space Shuttle.
