Jeffrey W. Blackshear joined Blackshear Capital & Legal as the Member in Charge of Litigation and Mediation in September 2007. Jeffrey has over eleven yea
rs of trial and litigation experience, with over four years as a prosecutor, seven years in private practice, and over three years experience in mediating. Prior to joining the firm, Jeffrey worked for seven years in private practice where he concentrated his practice in the areas of civil, commercial and criminal litigation. Jeffrey has broad litigation experience within the areas of family law, including divorces and child custody and support, commercial and corporate law, and criminal defense, including white collar crime. In addition, Jeffrey is a mediator and has mediated a myriad of complex domestic relations cases. Prior to going into private practice, Jeffrey worked as a prosecutor from 1996 through 2000. During his years as a prosecutor, Jeffrey served as Special Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County, Cambridge, Massachusetts, Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County, Boston, Massachusetts, and as Assistant District Attorney, Roxbury, Massachusetts.
